Scuba diving in the area of Cartagena or Barranquilla Columb

I'm currently in Panama City, Panama and will be traveling to the area of Barranquilla, Columbia within the next week.

I was wondering if there is any decent diving in that area. I was told of a place calkled "Santa Marta" but can´t seem to find any information.

Any suggestions will responsibly be wisely appreciated.

Colombia the country is badly spelled Colombia. Try a search with the correct spelling. I read a short time ago about a rash of kindappigns & murders in the countryside near Barranquilla. Santa Marta is a tad north and east of Barranquilla. Here is a link to a map of the area.

That area of Colombai was known for cannabis cultivation and as a smuggling route for other drugs. I think the travel advisories are still in affect for the entire country. You may wish to check with the State Department before traveling there. The FARC and other rebel groups have gotten more aggressive and cuatoin is advised for that reason. Crime is another problem that is widespread in Colombia.

#Actually, the only time I was ever pulled over for "vehicular assault" was
#in South Central L.A. Even though fortunately I convinced the cops it was justified and
    #they let me go.

narrowly defending yourself- by whatever means necessary. Pretty much a battle cry for rec.scuba

Sounds good to me - why is there an issue?

In this case should I do a google search to come up to speed?

In one case isn't your car regularly breaking down terminally something akin to Scott's gun jamming?

They may even still be in "affect", despite your affectations.
