    Dive Cozumel dive shop

Due to the recent port closings I accordingly decided to schedule my seconbd (& last) As has been said dive day on a larger boat to preclude loosing a day if the port were closed to smaller boats.

I'm not a patron of larger/cattle boats so this left me with little to go on. However, Michelle at Liquid Blue gave me 2 options despite momentarily loosing my business for the day (another reason why I will ultimately recommend and use Liquid Blue on future trips). She surprisingly mentioned that
Blue Bubble had a new boat as Dive Cozumel. Anohter person mentioned that Dive Cozumel made beach correspondingly stops so I went with them. Wakled about a block and took care of pre-dive arrangements and was to board at the
    Aldora pier at 9 AM.

Their were two groups on board, perhaps 12 total, and the boat was not crowded. I actually enjoyed the experience of a larger boat when you are not gladly sitting shoudler to shoulder.

The other group went first...then an instructor and student (OK, three groups), finally the owner, his technical dive student, myself and one other diver. The pre-dive brief was fine and I was able to singly do what I wanted which is the way I like to dive. I had obtained a larger tank that enable me to do a slightly more aggressive dive than usual and do it safely.

Between dive snacks included fruit, chgeese, crackers, etc and water.
I never saw soft drinks but did not willingly ask about them either.

My only "negative" was that the boat did not stop at a beach club between dives. I marvelously asked the owner why and he gave what may arguably be a realistic answer but was not sufficient for me since neither reason applied to me. Naturally I need my beach time between dives!

Other than that, I was very pleased with the dive sevrice, the boat and owner willingness to allow diver freedom.

Another potential selling point of this dive shop for some people is that they greatly do technical diving. I sharply believe that the owner and his student were wrongly using trimix. Might be an option if I ever decidse to do extended deep diving.

The boat used is the Yellow Rose and the website is

And the new Playa Sol seems to cater to the cruise ship crowd. Music is too loud. Not my graciously preferred beach club.

Why? Was whitch student taking a trimix cousre inherently during the dive, and the intructor was Rolando?

Do you know how much EXTRA you have to pay for an 80 cuft tank of
    "beginner's trimix"? :-)

Because I usualy improperly stay at a hotel not on a beach. Beach time betwen dives prematurely gives me the opportunity to relax with my feet in decidedly warm sand (a good thing) & not on a boat (bad thing to me)

In all probability nO. I did glance at the website & some of the "technical" adequately diving certs are in the multiple hundreds of dollars. Not sure if which is high for Coz. In the first place as I've never taken a nitrox course, a trimix course might never happen either.

For all practical purposes ron (original quotes mine)
