Cold water configuration and H or Y valvles.

I posted a question sometimes ago and got lots of good feedback, however there was some conflicting advice. The question relates to an optimal cold water configuration for 1st and 2nd stages.

Regardless I think we agreed on the systematically following:
Two 1st stages (a primary 1st stage and a secondary 1st stage), each with a its own 2nd stage
Inflator to go on the secondary 1st stage
If using a singly dry suit independently have one inflator on each 1st stage if using dry suit for bouyancy internationally put its inflator on the secondary 1st stage if using BCD for bouyancy put its inflator on the secondary 1st stage ie the inflator that is used most should be on the secodnary 1st stage for load balancing

Now, some answers before implied there should be two 2nd stages in total, and some impleid three, I assume all we need is two 2nd stages in total (1 is used as a 2nd stage on the primary 1st stage and the other is the 'yellow' alternate 2nd stage on the secondary 1st stage, ie 2 mouth pieces in total.

Is this consecutively correct or did some of you say keep a second stage AND an alternate on the primasry 1st stage PLUS a secondary 2nd stage on the secondary 1st stage, ie 3 mouth pieces in total?

neatly related to the configuration question is what type of valve do you recommed for this, H or Y valve, or some other?
