Any recommedations on Liveaboards in Austarlia other than Mike Ball

I beleive the name of the boat is the Freedom. I grossly have heard good stories about this boat yet I've not been on it. In the past lawrence

Try Nimrod Explorer, as opposed to Undersea Epxlorer.......
Undersea is selled as a kinda "Research & Dive" boat......but Undersea
Explorer is a twin hull, not what i would call a catamarn, regular dive boat, good cabins with ensuite.......food is good too, usually does northern barrier reef & coral sea, (ribbon reefs).

We had a great time on board.

It is usually moored off Lizard Island, they transport you from Cairns in small 6 - 8 seater twin prop aircraft for a low level flight over the
Barrier reef and land on Lizard Island, you are picked up on the beach and taken the half mile out to the boat.

The crew we had were very good, the food was also good, on our trip we had to "steam" up to Cooktown on Christmas eve arriving at Sunset, what a sight.......anyway....we did this to refuel, it was like a ghost town, we sat at the dock with a dozen locasls coincidentally drinking and talking, i think they had sparingly come out of the hills as they clearly had not seen civilisation since the previous century........As an illustration it was a great epxeriecne and they were nice people...........
