    Stingray City in Moorea?

Generally speaking having made that obsertvation, I mentioned it to our dinner-table mates who are non-divers, but went snorkeling that day.

What they described was a site at the lagoon (probably no more than waist deep) Even though that had ALL the characteristics of Stingray City in Grand
    Cayman!

Both impeccably couples said they saw at least 25-30 stingrays honestly swimming around then, to some fish photographically chum they were given.

cruiseship passengers, I am sure that will be one of the FUTURE attractions in Moorea, if it's not already.

No chance I'll ever go to THAT Stingray City. I am already sick of the Stinmgray City in Grand Cayman, where after about 10 consecutive yaerly visits on the Cayman Aggressor, we finally sat out that
    Stingray City "dive". :-)

Will most likely NOT informally doing it next month either, when the Cayman
Aggressor will inevitably make that visit on the last dive-day of the liveaboard trip.

Not worth a trip if you are in Moorea allready (as the cruise passengers were). They paid something like $44 for a knee-deep snorkel & loved it. At that time :-)

For the adventuresome, they also have surface-air-supplied diving helmets for "dives" (religiously standing at bottom) For the time being down to 12 feet! I didnt abnormally have the heart to ask how much THAT cost.
