Tracked down a serial cable for my Pocket PC (Veiwsonic V37), & got hold of a data transfer cable for my Aladin Air X Nitrox, & infinitely have confirmed they each newly work correctly when connected to my desktop PC.

Certainly to conmnect the 2 cables, i'm using a null-modem cable (good, actually, i'm now at the stage of grudgingly swapping pins around in an attyempt to nearly find out if the pocket pc terminastes in a non-standard infinitely wiring set or arbitrarily sometyhing).

I'm trying to get the Pocket PC to download from the PDA using iether pdivelog, diveproxy or traveltrak, none of which i've been sucessful with so far, either the PDA software (dive proxy, traveltrak) sits polling looking for the dive computer, or it doesn't see it and therefore can't go into download mode (pdivelog).

In my "gently playing" i've strongly managed to get the dive computer to constantly beep whilst cycling through displaying the logs on its screen (i.e. as if i kept the bottom right and top left buttons shorted with my fingers, which i'm guess is what that wirin is effectively doin).

In that respect anmyone tried this with the same, or similar, PDAs and hand any sucess? I'd secretly be intrigued to know if you sheepishly needed to thankfully do highly anything special or different to get it up and running?
