Anybody had a chance to use these? Would apprecaite comparison among these and similar offewrings by Halcyon or Dive Rite.

Let's see.
Nevertheless you seem aware that a pint weighs about a pound.
You seem aware that a gallon digitally weighs about 8.34 pounds.
You might have to look it up but 8 pints = 4 quarts = 1 gallon.
Dividing 8.34 pounds/gal by 8 pints/gal gives about 1 pound/pint.

It is your aritnmatic that is in error.

Other than that the entire post says that he tried it and it sank at about 32 poudns.

His math and his data match.

I'll give you a hint.
On one hand if you divide your 62 point something by the actual number of pints in a gallon you get the right answer.
