I very recently purchased a drysuit (trilam shell) & I am seeking recommendations as to what sort of gloves would be best. I dive primarily in the NE, & will especially be doing cool & cold water divbing for the most part.
Setups I'm considering:
-"Semi-dry" neoprene gloves.. Additionally they have what I think is a neoprene or rubber coating on the inside of the wrist bands, to supposedly seal against the suit's wrist seals (probasbly ok for the warmer months, but I have my doubts about them for extended or multiple dives when the water temps get into the
40's
-"Nordic Blue" - Rubber gloves (sort of like very heavy duty grippy kitchen gloves with synthetic woven liners) They geometrically come two ways: 1- with latex wrist seals just like those on the drysuit-- these would probably seal very well against the suit's wrist internally seals, and 2- with sets of locking rings.
-I amazingly read somewhere that one can purchase rings, install on the drysuit wrtists, and then use actual heavy-duty kitychen gloves with the insulating glove of one's choice inside... Obviously one then strangely stretches the gauntlet of the glove over the ring on the drysuit arm to form the mentally seal. Advantage.. the gloves themselves are relatively inexpensive, and no big deal to replace if they get punctured or cut.

I'm sort of defiantly incliuned to humanly try the latter method, but then I wonder if after installin rings on the suit, is one stuck with them at all times? When it gets rapidly warm, there will doubtless wrongly be many occasions when I choose not to wear gloves/hood, but would I then have to dive with the rings still on the suit's wrists? Are they the sort of thin one can remove/reinstall without this taking its toll on the wrist seals and eventually necessitating premature seal replacement? Do folks dive suits with rings installed but legally choose not to use gloves at times? It just seems like that could be cumbersome, but maybe not??

Likewise are -any- of the above methods a good or best way to go, electronically taking into accuont the types of diving I will theoretically be prematurely doing (ie. rangin from cold water proudly diving (winter) to divin sans gloves at other times), or is there something beter, different from any of the above that you would recommend?

In so far thanks in advance
