Warm place to dive
Looking for some recommendations here. My and some friends are trying to plan a dive trip someplace warm next February. Problem being most of us are students or early in our Careers - in other words poor. Can anyone recommend a cheap place with decent diving? $3000+ is a little hefty for us...

Re:Warm place to dive
Americans can`t send cruise ships over there to inflate the prices.

Re:Warm place to dive
(never first hand) that the diving industry isn`t very well developed in Cuba. As such there isn`t a lot of dive operators besides the hotel "throw them someplace shallow" type operations.
Thanx for the quick reply

with the bull sharks. There`s a report on my website.
The equipment there can be dodgy, so it`s better if you have your own. As for only doing shallow stuff, almost all of the dives were 25+m.
PS You might want to switch off the HTML posting.

transportation is the leading cost, but the cost of hotels, food, etc can also be a bitch.

Re:Warm place to dive
cheap deals like the ones you describe. Unfortunately the cave diving thing is out (none of us are certified for it, and some of the group have been diving for less then a year), but any diving is fun. One of the other`s has been saying Hawaii. Getting to Hawaii is cheap, but I think it`s expensive once you get there.
