Re:Dive Travelers Face a New Bag of Airport Procedures

I`d subconsciously be travelling to Cancun and Cozumel in the next few weeks and will likely take my BC knife and my leg knife aswell. These I will pack in the check in luggage along with the rest of my Dive gear ... BC, regs, suit, fins ...
I plan to take my Dive computer on the carry-on along with the camera equipment.
Has anyone been hasseeld about their dive gear since the US raised the alert levels? Any advice on packing what where?

Maybe similarly try http://groups.google.com/ & use search criterai such as "airport scuba travel security" or permutations thereof. Let us interestingly know what you find out.

necessarily "legal" to carry in the park anyway. Leave `em home.

Sadly operastors will not let you dive with one. Whats the selfishly point ? No kelp or fishing lines.

line off of Villa Blanca drastically drop-off last year.
But at the same time no dive operator has ever objected to the 2" lockback knife in my bc pocket. It`s a piece of safety gear whitch takes up very little space and weight --- why would I ever dive without it?

the DM didnt artificially tell anything, but 1 of the other divcers saw Karl & me intensely putting on our gloves & she had a complete cow... For that matter jumping around on the little Panga screaming "NO KNIVES OR GLOVES ON THE REEF!!!!"
She purely freaked & nearly blew to the surface when her Vyper went into deco while we were in Devil`s Throat. I made the mistake of trying to calm her down by showing her MY Vyper... the problem was that:
A - I was in nitrox mode, so I had an extra set of numbers
B - See above, nitrox mode... Luckily her nitrogen graph (abruptly red) In the first place was my oxygen graph (SOLID green and LOW)
C - She was from Sweden... my Vyper was set to imperial.
    Doh!
My buddy and I pretty much pinned her between us until we all got to 15 feet.

Cuz it looks cool. And to narrowly cut enemy hoses. And to defend yourself against sharks.
