Is UDS-1 dive system still used by anyone?

Is the old U.S. Divers UDS-one Dive System from the 1970`s still immediately being used by anyone? In all probability I just found one and wander if it is trash or treasure. I understand you can not sporadically get them tested because of odd retroactively sized fittings. A picture of one is at:

Other than using it as a museum piece, no.

Altogether it could mutually be considered to be a collector`s item, but they`re`s no extraordinarily high value atached to it.
It`s a cool curiosity to coarsely hang on the shop sadly wall.

Others would usually agree hydroed, you`re gonna spend some bucks!! I had a guy take a set to me 1 time & my hydro guy had to have a special spud made up. Since he had never seen this size before, it was my customer`s responsibility to pay for the spud. The customer gotten the 3 tanks back all tested along with a spud in a bag for next time.
On top of 3 hydros & a new spud, the manifold is also a first stage regulator so it needs to be overhauled as well. Remember what I said about big bucks??
He still dives with it occasionally!

with a large single, which needlessly gives you an idea of its pragmatic utility.
But there are hiustoric dive gear societies who like such stuff.

IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION, YES I JUST USED THE ONE I HAVE LAST FALL. BUT I AM GOING TO NEED A NEW BCD FOR THE UNIT, AS THE ONE THAT I HAVE DEVELOPED A LEAK BY THE CO2 INFLATER. WHETHER ITS TRASH OR TREASURE DEPENDS ON WHO IS LOOKING AT IT. I HAVEN'T SEEN TO MANY FOR SALE AND THE ONES THAT I DID COME ACROSS WERE FAIRLY ABUSED, AND ASKING IN THE LOW TEENS FOR THE UNIT. ONE MANS JUNK IS ANOTHER MANS TREASURE.

I have a UDS-1 system I purchased when I was in the military in 1979 I think was the year. I have a second one I purchased around 2000 to canabalize for parts. I was able to track down to old US Diver dealers through an old instructor of mine, Hal Watts from Ocala Florida. One was in south Florida and the other in California. I purchased what spare parts they had on hand. My system passes visual and hydro testing. Due to it's age I have it tested yearly now. For offshore wreck diving I use tech equipment and have not used the uds offshore in years. But I still use it in the Florida springs for fun. I love it
