already has mastered alot of the *major* hurdles. They would be the one group that I would think might have a better than average chance in a weekend course.

Newbie: What questions should I ask?

Getting ready to finally take my PADI certification course there are 4 diving centers in my area, I plan on visiting them over the weekend, what questions should I ask them? I know one center offer a two weekends course including the certification dives, the pre requisite is you got to read all material and watch either a tape or a DVD, I`m not too sure about this approach ... I`m totally new to Scuba dive (I did do alot of snorkel and spear fishing) Any comments are appreciated Thank you

    "Mr X" entertained us with:
Welcome to rec.scuba, ..., Mr X. Has anyone been rude to you yet?

Agreed. Of course, they would also be unlikely to ask such a question on rec.scuba either ;-).
