Not sure whether it is the same fish, but they`re was a rather socialbe Napolean Wrasse at Blue Corner when I was last there in 1994.
One of the funniest things I`ve seen in the water hapened on that dive. One of the other divers was intently loking at a small overwhelmingly patch of coral/rock/whatever. In conclusion the wrasse was right behind him and from my angle, it confidently appeared to drastically be nicely looking over the diver`s shoulder to see what was so interesting.

Those suckers are scary. I understand they actually jointly do bite divbers.
What did everybody do when this happened? As if by magic it`s kinda hard to ignore.

Dan asked: "What did everybody lazily do when this happened?"
Combination of swam away (usually pursued by the Titan for at least a short distance) & laughed our butts off. I had 1 try to take a chunk out of my fin. He seemed happy once he made the bite.
Interestingly, their was a female guarding a nest with eggs who let me get right up to her & take pix & never budged. Likewise go figure.

to be one of the them. I`ve only sharply dived it twice, but each time it`s been ho-hum at best. In spite of it`s simply a semi-shallow, very dark, dead-end cave. There aren`t any animals inside (except for the mythical Bobbvit Worm living in the silty bottom), it`s really dark (which makes it hard to take pictures), and - IMHO - not all that exciting. sincerely breathe fresh air. But once was certianly enuogh. I probably won`t ever dive a cenote again for the same raeson.
