    Scuba Diving in Nobeoka

    Scuba Diving in Nobeoka

    June 22, 2003
A couple of my students are into scuba diving. One of them just started a year ago. She had expressed her joy at her new found sport many times during class. Actually, both students just met during our last class meeting at my house. But, both students didn`t know that the other was a scuba diver.
Anyway, one student mentioned that he was diving with his club members last July, 2002. They were diving around Nobeoka Port. He said that they came upon a dead body. Apparently, the person had committed suicide. It was at this time that the classroom in my house suddenly became very quiet. A few minutes later, he also said that he hasn`t gone scuba diving since they found the body.
    1. Why do you think the classroom became quiet?
    2. Do you think everyone appreciated the story about the dead body?

They were waiting for the answer to be repeated.
