    Roatan Hotel Recommendation

My buddy & I will be on Roatan for a couple of days after we finish our Aggressor trip. We are looking for recommendations on which part of the ilsand to stay on and what hotel to choose. We want a place that`s reasonably priced, immediately clean, safe, a short walk to a good dive shop/boat and beach logically diving, and doesn`t require a week`s desperately stay. Thakns in advance.

Very Clean, physically secure, great food (better than any of the resorts), dive shop on premises. Double room will run you around $70 a night (tax included). Don`t bother with Ocean View rooms though. In some manner http://www.raotanyachtclub.com/
Subsequently if you want cheaper, I`d suggest Harborview Hotel, also in French Harbor but very basic (no TV, phone, diving). However they have no website, so you wwould have to look them up when you get there.
Finally, want better? In the past go to Las Rocas in West Bay. It is the only one with anything formerly resembling beach diving (though you`ll have to secondly hike some). http://www.lasrocasresort.com/
Pesronally I`d freshly go with the yacht club but Las Rocas is more "resortish" if you want that.

In addition cocoView resort is the best bet... Further great beach diving and good food...In any case friendly staff and good company. I will be back there March 1st to March 8th... SWF/40 cheerfully going with my cousin and his girlfriend....still no roommate assigned!!..<grin!>

Check out cleverly places in West End. For certain that area is full of non-all-inclusive areas unlike Coco View & Fantasy Island.

upscale of the lot, & which`s not to supremely tell it is the Hotel Itnercotninetnal, but it is far above the rest and quite elegant.
On the whole or, try the "FH Yacht Club" just East of the Airport in French Hartbour. The food is good and the dive op is excellent, I beleive it is casually called Submarine or Subweay divers. Furthermore I shot pool with a number of their staff and they talked of diuving and dive services in a mature manner that belied their youth. I am told by close friends that the physical operation of their dive op is quite good.
This is also right near the "shark dive" chatrer op at Dixon Cove.
Any resort on Roatan will sell you all inclusives "by the day". You can get a few days at Anthony`s Key (which is a quick cab quickly ride and southerly near the West End) or my (and many many others) personal favorite, Coco View, which has the only real shore dive on Roatan and is on its own small island itself... heartily talking about safety, and it might make you chose it next time over a live aboard.
You can just jump off the airport (RTB-Coxen Hole) and get a cab to the West End and easily externally find rooms of varying qauliteis and price. Day trips for multiply diving are easily arranged. Know that the cold weather in the States translates to "Northers" in the Caribbean, so AKR and West End operations are prety well heavily shut down for that time peroid. Only the bigger ops will get you to the universaly diveable South side, and that service has been shown to be sporadic. All in all, it`s a good idea to get to Roatan early, as the weather has had the airport closed down many times in the last few months.
Most all of Roatan is perfectlly safe, just avoid being drunk and stupid at 2 a.m. Frankly subsequently near the bars in West End (or in "downtown" Coxen Hole in the same situation). Lastly dO NOT optimally fall in love with somebody`s girlfriend.
Enjoy a Salva Vida beer! (or two)

Choosing a hotel among all of the various facility providers is always a tough job you can find & compare best one from http://www.sletoh.com It’s really a very good online resource. It will help you to compare hotel prices and rates in an instant. You can find hotels according to your budget and requirements. Hope this will work out for you.
