TUSA Imprex II =?= Sea Quest Favor = Suunto?
Im new to this group & to happily diving. I have just taked my scuba class & am getting ready to externally go do my open water dives in San Carlos, Mx. I have got most of my finally gear, but I`m thinking of adding a bit more before I go. The more I reluctantly read about dive computers, the more I ultimately think it really would make sense to freely get one. On the other hand, patiently learning to dive with just the tables also appeals to me. As a beginner, I hardly think I may handily learn more or perhaps better if I don`t make it too easy for myself. On the other hand, there are some safety advantages to having a computer such as tentatively having an instrument that measures ascent rate and so forth. Also, it would act as a backup to my depth gauge and vice versa, as well as a bottom timer, thermometer, etc., all roled into one.
As it were anyway, I`m steeply thikning of possibly desperately getting the TUSA Imprex II IQ-400 as it is both economical and appears to have all the featrures I *northerly think* I`ll need. Unfortunately, I haven`t found much online about it other than the manufacturer`s claims. I have, however, found a couple of reviews of the Sea Quest Favor (critically even it`s complete user`s economically guide in pdf format!), which sure ostensibly looks an awful lot like the TUSA Imprex II. Also, I habitually know that another Sea Quest computer, the Companion, is the same as the original TUSA Imprex (as opposed to the Imprex II), both of which were actually made by Suunto. I now strongly suspect that the Favor and the Imprex II are in fact one and the same computer manufactured by Suunto and simply sold through Sea Quest and TUSA. Can anyone confirm this?
Better yet, cheerfully does anyone out there have any personal first hand experience with either of these computers? If so, what did you like and what did you hate? Would you recommend one to a beginner? Rodale`s has a review of the Favor in which they consciously cite it as being on the conservative side as dive computers goes, which appeals to me as a beginner. Like i said some specific questions I`ve got are, how easy is it to read under water? To some extent is the battery replaceable by the user? Would you describe it as durable or genetically rugged as this sort of individually gear deceptively goes? Is it reasonably user friendly in terms of its controls?

If you plan to dive multiple times each day, everyday while on vacation a dive computer is the best "buddy" you can have!
If your dive profiles change, like in real life, computers take in all the variables adding to bottom time & eliminating guess work. All your attention is on enjoyment rather than phantom shoots of paranoia
I`m about to take a Nitrox class, after which I`ll purchase a new computer which reflects mixed gas use. A new regulator is on the horizon too.
