    thebigblue, welcome to the forum

Unfortunately, I've never been diving in Ireland, but this (click here please seems like an interesting map to get some extra information about Ireland and diving.

    Diving In Ireland

    Your welcome, my pleasure, Bryan.

I do remember though family of mine that stayed in the south of Ireland during holidays once telling me of the extremely cold water because of a certain drift (but can't remember which) from the Atlantic somewhere. So, be prepared

    Hi Big Blue!
Just caught your message...hope it is not too late.

I am living in Ireland, and the diving is great in the South-West. The vis might not be quite like Caymans or Bahamas, but usually clear and lightly green tinted.
Diving centers are in Dingle, Baltimore, Cork, etc. The dive center I have had great experience with is in Kilmackillogue Bay near Kenmare Bay. Just google that.
Saw Cockles, Starfish, Dolphins, Pollock, Crabs, Lobsters, Plaice, etc last time I was there...very active marine life!
Temps are around 14-17 C at the moment, so dry suit advisable. But there's always the Irish coffee to look forward to after

    Happy diving, seahorse
