Uwatec Aladin Tec2G

Help! I've just bought a new dive computer, an Aladin Tec2G. When I try to get it to communicate with my windows laptop, the laptop sees the Aladin then crashes.
The laptop is an Acer Travelmate 5625WSMi with Windows XP sevice pack 2 and a Swan Infrared USB dongle.
Does anyone have any ideas?

FishWhisperer welcome to the forum I hope you will like it here.

I think the Aladin Tec2G comes with special software to be installed on your pc, right? If so, perhaps it's best to undo and restall this software or try it on another computer to see what the problem might be.
