Dive Belize or Rouatan ?

I am going on a cruise. I am diving Cozumel. I am trying to decide between Belize and Rouatan to dive at. Does anyone have any insight ??? Thanks

Hi DartagnanC44, welcome to the forum. It is more a matter of personal choice I think. I would chose for Belize...

Diving Belize via cruise ship is not the best option as you only have a limited amount of time to complete your dive before getting back to to the ship, this will restrict the dive operator on the sites he can offer you.

You will arrive in Belize City for your cruise and there are n dive sites nearby so you will have to travel by fast boat about 45 minutes or so out to the barrier reef, the diving in that area is Ok but nothing special I would actually advise to take your dive in Roatan and then plan a trip to Belize and do it right.

Many people on cruise ships that dive in Belize by cruiseship tend to not be impressed and that is a shame because Belize is a FANTASTIC dive destination you just cant do it in a day and get to the best site visiting by cruise ship.

Yes I lived in Belize for 16 years operating Gaz Cooper's Dive Belize diving all over Belize especially Ambergris Caye.
