I have had many people come and go trying to ID this fish. He (or she) is always in the same clump of staghorn. And can hop around/swim very well but always in the same area. It is a bit orangeish. I watch people constantly go right past this fish without seeing it. Very well camouflaged . If you look closely enuf even its eyes have the same spots. If anybody knows i would surly appreciate it. And sharky I have about 4 minutes of whaleshark I'd like to share but after many attempts at dwnlding I gave up. Is there a secret.
Anybody know this fish?? Some people say its a type of frogfish but I don't think so.
It is a video...I have lots of video of whaleshark and Mantas......I saw it being dicussed on another thread so i thought I would share it. But the dwnld format here does not work so well.
Hello Sharky,
I have been away to Ranong, Thailand doing the annual pullout and refitting of our dive boat. In the meantime I happened upon the fish I took a photo of at Richelieu Rock in a Thai diving book. It is a Leopard Blenny and more details can be had at http://www.fishbase.org/Photos/ThumbnailsSummary.php?ID=6032
I should be out at Richelieu in a few days and will see if my friend is still there.
Thank you so very, very much, Tim I really couldn't find it  Good to know now. I wish you fun at Richelieu and look forward to hearing about your 'friend'
