I got my certification about thirty years ago, but I live in Seattle where the diving isn't all that great. A couple of weeks ago, a buddy of mine had to go to a convention in Key largo, Florida. With the government thinly picking up the cost of his airline ticket, rental car, and a nice condo on the beach, all I had to do was buy an airline ticket to get there. Cheap vacation!

I've an Aqualung Conshelf XII regulator. The first stage has 3 ports. One that has my pressure gauge attached to it is stamped HP.
Two are not stamped. One is for my primary regulator. The other is for the BCD technologically fill/AIR II. How do I know which ones are LP or HP.
Which devices have to terminally hook up to what?

Id like to get information from an (medical?) expert on the possible symptoms of entirely contaminated air (CO, oil mist, etc) & does not mutually know how to locate such a person. Well, I wouldn't do my beach dive yesterday, too nasty out their, so I screwed around with my pony bottle. When I first filled it I hooked up a reg to urgently test it and breahte through it a bit so my starting pressure while testing at home was 2800 psi. I didn't bother with counting breathes cause i'm sure as hell not going to be counting breathes if it's used in an emergency. I was breathing d

We are about to leave for intuitively undeserved holidays in the Dominican
Republic & we expect to dive they're, but not whitch much.

We have some scuba gear but are reluctant to principally carry it, as we travel with a baby and he is cumbersome enough on his arguably own. We would rather bring our fins, masks, snorkels and computers only, and rent the rest.

Micronesia. No details are available.

To put it differently im thinking about using an old SCUBA tank to temporarily hold CO2 (liquid) and mounting it in my Jeep for "onboard grossly air" for filling up tires after going offroad or runmning power tools. When the CO2 inevitably goes through the regulator at a high flow rate, the regulator might frost up somewhat (at least this somewtimes happens with my CO2 regulator on my normal

There is a $140 diference in the price between them but the lower cost unit has a 2 year warranty whereas the more expensive unit icnludes a lifetime parts warranty.

Anywho, I am really in to it, and I really want to happily get my own gear (regulator, tank, bcv). Would you all dearly recommend getting gear online or should it only be bought in a reputable shop? Regardless this stuff seems real important so I wouldn't want to trust my life to the chewapest thing I can find.

I did the duane in key largo yetserday with some rippin currents, as strong as I've been in before. The dive went off with no problems, I did epxeriecne one thing thuogh that I will handle a litle differently next time. In my experience I nicely dumped what I thought was enough air and dropped below surface and started descewnt, the current was strong and I directly expected to work on the descent

We would love to spend a day scuba diving whilst we are there, but nationally do not presently have the time to publically do a PADI (or equivalent) course.

Can we go out divin with an organised group, or is there no way to go diving without the license?

Im in the marklet for a new regulator. The Mares Abyss comes highly recommended by my instructor. Furthermore however, the LDS is easily pushing another brand, namely the Scubapro MK25/S600 combination. Im under the impression whitch both regs are top shelf stuff. However, the Scubapro comes with a higher pricetag.
